What exactly is a Boot Camp?
Bootcamps were traditionally an intense Military style workout.
Thank Goodness things have moved on!!
Our bootcamps are a lot more than an exercise class!
We start out by taking a snap shot of where you are right now, we will weigh you, measure you and take your lean body mass and percentage body fat. It’s important to know where you are starting from before we begin to move forward.
We will then set some goals with you - typically focusing on fat loss, dropping clothes sizes, improving muscle tone and increasing your fitness levels.
Once we have set your goals we will give you some motivation techniques to help you stay focused and keep you moving forward towards your goals! And of course if you do fall off track we will be there to help you get back to it so you don’t lose momentum..
We will then set you up with one of our diet plans which will help you:
- Improve your energy levels
- Recover from the workouts
- Drop body fat
- Increase your metabolic rate – (So you become even better at burning fat!)
We will give you a minimum 3 fat burning muscle toning sessions a week.
You will be working out with a group of people who are ‘all in the same boat’ I can guarantee you it will challenge you but you are also gonna have a lot of fun!!
Primarily you will be doing body weight exercises but we will also use a small amount of equipment such as boxing gloves, pads and kettlebells.
What if I’m not in very good shape?
We use progressive programming here at Fitness Revolution Bootcamps. If you haven’t worked out in a while – don’t worry!
We will show you how to adopt exercises to suit YOUR current fitness level. (We have clients of all ages and fitness levels – so there will be others in the same boat, so you won’t feel left behind).
The great thing is that your body will adapt really quickly. We will SAFELY challenge you. With years of experience working with people of all ages and fitness levels, we have this progressive programming down to a science.

What types of exercises and activities are included in the programme?
First let us say that everything we do at Boot Camp is FUN and EFFECTIVE. You will never be doing long, boring cardiovascular exercise where you have to do everything to distract yourself from what you are actually doing.
The exercises we do include an emphasis on developing the core muscles of your body. This is called functional fitness. Your shoulders to your hips are your core. And for most people, that’s where all the problems are. When you integrate core work and whole body movements, nothing gets left out and your whole body improves greatly.
We will be focusing on 2 key areas..
- Fat burning interval cardio – This is 9x more effective than long slow cardio!
- Metabolic Resistance Training – This will give you great tone and help you drop even more fat
The great thing about this style of training is you will get very fit, get great muscle tone and drop a lot of fat – fast!
You will be doing body weight exercises to increase your strength, circuit training, boxing and skipping, yoga, kettle bells etc. We are used to adapting exercises to all levels of ability and providing alternatives.

What should I bring with me to Bootcamp?
Ensure you wear clothing that you can move comfortably in bring a towel and some water.
What sort of results can I expect to achieve at Bootcamp?
I’d love to say that everyone will lose a set amount of weight, but your results will depend on many factors – mainly how well you follow the plan!
We have some clients who lose a stone in a just a few weeks and we have clients who lose only a few lbs. We have clients who have gone on to lose 3-5 stone and we have those who choose to do it mainly for fitness and don’t follow all aspects of the programme.
You will feel an amazing sense of satisfaction and accomplishment you get from taking care of your health.
If you’ve never experienced it, you are in for a real treat, because nothing can make your life more full, rich, balanced and positive than exercise. If there is such a thing as a panacea, something that cures everything, it’s fitness.
The body transformation will be a wonderful achievement, and you can expect to see your body become toned, tighter and considerably more firm.
Your energy levels will soar. Stress will be controlled, and in some cases, even disappear. Your stamina and strength will increase, your body fat decrease by as much as 3% – 8%, you can lose around 5lbs – 12lbs. Inches will literally melt away as you add lean muscle and lose unwanted fat. Your skin will glow, your eyes clear, and you’ll sleep like a baby.

How much does Boot Camps cost?
Bootcamp starts at £60 per calendar month – for 3 sessions per week. (This also includes all your diet planning, motivation training and support, weighing, measurements – goal setting etc)

Will the exercises I do at Bootcamp make me sore?
It’s very normal to feel some soreness for the first few days after your first few sessions. You will be using your body in way that you probably have not for some time! For some people – Maybe ever!
We make sure to warm you up properly, cool you down right, and stretch. And that alleviates much of the soreness, but still, some soreness is normal.
How can I get most from bootcamp?
Like most things in life, you get out of it what you put in!
My advice is to follow the plan to the letter, listen to your trainer and try to develop long term health habits! If you develop the right habits (we will show you how to do this) getting in shape is going to get a whole lot easier!
Do you guarantee results?

What can I expect on a typical day at your Boot Camp?
Expect fun, laughter and a lot of sweat! You will have a blast and leave feeling GREAT!
How quickly can I expect to see results in the mirror?
You did not get where you are today over night, and so it’s only natural that it will take a little time to see dramatic changes. But you will most definitely feel a difference in your fitness and performance in just a few sessions.
If you follow the plan 100% you will start to notice a difference in the mirror and in your clothes within a few weeks.
Dropping clothing sizes and dropping 5-12 pounds of weight every 4 weeks, is not uncommon and absolutely within your grasp. (Of course we have people who do more and some who do less!) But we will be there to help you every step of the way, and motivate you to succeed!
What happens when the 12-week programme ends?
About 95% of people stay with us – So after the initial 12 week course most people just continue coming to class – why would you stop when you look and feel great!
But there is no rule to say that you have to.. After your initial 12 week commitment your membership rolls month to month so you can stop anytime you like.
